Good news, everyone! Now there’s something I’d never thought was possible. That guy is quite the daredevil, I’ll say! I’ve known of many people who’ve joked or phantasized about getting attached to a lot of helium-filled party balloons and fly around (myself included), but this is the first time I see a real person do it! I mean, this is the kind of stuff you’ll usually see in cartoons… but all the while there he goes flying away. For a while there I found myself questioning both his sanity and safety, but then I realized he’s actually wearing a parachute. Regardless, there’s still a good deal of danger involved in this stunt, particularly until he reached a certain altitude. Wow, that must be an amazing feeling!

Do you know what I like best about violin players in general? The way they always keep a raised chin, despite life’s adversities. No, really (bad jokes aside)… there’s something about watching a great violinist - particularly great a lady violinist - which I just fascinates me to no end. And when it’s such a talented lady violinist as Lacie Carpenter, The World Champeon People’s Choice Fiddler 2008… wow.

This isn’t usually a blog which will provide you will political insight or opinion; but in this special circumstance, I feel like and exception is due. Because just a few days ago, something bigger happened, than just Barack Obama getting elected as the 44th president of the USA.

What happened in that fateful night - as far as I’m concerned - was the blossoming of the seeds of change. That was the moment where people realized they could make a different; that we all have the power of sticking together and changing our collective fates. So more than a man, more than a president, Barack Obama will always be a symbol of our collective hopes and dreams.

I don’t know about you, but I have faith that things will change. Not just because of Him, but especially because of US.
